About the Trip:
This 12 days trip into the pearl of Africa will take you from the city Centre to the mouth of the Great East African rift valley and points that are very peculiar in nature. Notably, the roaring Murchison falls, the Nile / Albert delta, then the Big 4, the ugly 4, the Chimpanzee, the ‘underground forest’, the Kazinga channel, the 4 different types of lakes , a possibility of spot fishing on the Nile, birds sanctuary, butterflies, amazing landscapes, the friendly people , organic foods and then, Face- To -Face with a Gorilla.

Day 1: Arrival , relaxing At your Hotel. Arrival, meet and greet at the Entebbe international Airport and be driven to your Hotel, in the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. Depending on your time of arrival, you can just relax or, get a quick glimpse of the city formerly on 7 hills but now spread over 21 hills. Each hill tells a story. Head to your hotel , for a Safari Briefing and relaxing in preparation for the thrilling Pearl Of Africa safari.
Day 2: Morning To Murchison Falls National Park.
Wake up to an early breakfast and set off to Murchison falls. Proceed to Murchison falls and head to the top of the Murchison Falls, a point where the River Nile’s 985 meters wide waters suddenly squeeze in between an 8-meter rocks and then, the thunder as the waters struggle their way through. Then head to your lodge, where you will spend the next 3 nights.
Day : 3 The Murchison falls Experience : Wake up to an early breakfast and head for an early morning spot fishing experience. During the spot fishing the bottom of the falls, also known to be a breeding point for the Nile crocodiles, will also be able to see Hippos in hundreds on top of water birds, especially the fishing eagles.
Return to the lodge for Lunch , then cross to Paraa Safari Podge for an early afternoon swim as you prepare for an evening game drive game drive for chances of seeing the big Cats, buffalos, Giraffes and other mammals plus birds with a possibility of seeing cats hunt.
Day 4: The Albertine Nile Delta Experience: Wake up to another early morning breakfast and cross to the northern bank head for a game drive for more birds and game, especially giraffes, buffalos and a possibility of seeing big cats relaxing after s night long hunting expedition. Here, we will also particularly look for a shoebill On return, you will be entertained by the locals. Head to the lodge for Lunch as you wait for a late afternoon boat ride the delta at a point where the Nile waters attempts to pour into lake Albert, meets strong resistance and in defeat, snakes its way down stream to the Mediterranean Sea. This is also another birds’ paradise. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: To Kibale National park. Wake up to another lazy breakfast and set off to Kibale, the world’s primates’ capital, through Hoima City, the headquarters of Uganda’s oldest Kingdom. Make stopover for lunch and a glimpse at (King) Omukama Kabalega’s palace. Proceed, with a scenic drive through eye catching tea plantations and thick tropical forests. Head to your Hotel in Fort Portal. Uganda’s newest gazette tourism City. Relax as you prepare for an early morning Chimpanzee trekking.
Day 6. Chimpanzee Tracking. Wake up to an early or parked breakfast and head straight to the Park headquarters for briefing. Walk into the Chimpanzee forest where you will also be able to encounter more 6 types of Primates plus hundreds of species of butter fly and birds. It is a real memorable experience. Return to your hotel for reflection and relaxing. Then in the afternoon, take a 40 kms drive to the Simpiya hot springs and return to your lodge.

Day 7: To Queen Elizabeth National Park Drive
Wake up in the norming to a normal breakfast and set off to Queen Elizabeht national park, through Kasese, Uganda’s Tourism District. It has been confirmed that here, everything is a tourist attraction.
Cross the equator line, take pictures and also a bit of Coriolis force experiments, branch to lake Katwe Town Council for view of 4 types of lakes in one spot . (Fresh water lake, Salt water lake, dead lake and seasonal lake – which is also a seasonal home for Flamingos), then head to Mweya Peninsular for a late afternoon Boat-ride on the Kazinga Chanel, a natural water channel that connects Lake Edward and lake George. The channel is in the middle of a national park, where you can see hundreds of hippos, Bufffalos, and other animals as they come for an ‘evening drink. Birds here are just amazing.
Return to the Hotel.
Day 8: To Queen Elizabeth National Park Drive
Wake up a wake -up coffee and head for an early morning game drive to the Kasenyi sctor of QENP. This is a mating point for most animals – due to its unique ecological formation, with a possibility to seeing, among other, lions and leopards.
Return to the Hotel for a late breakfast and set off ( with a packed lunch) for Bwindi Impenetrable National park, through the Ishasha sector of QUEP, known for Tree climbing lions.
Continue to your Hotel in Bwindi. Relax as you prepare for the gorilla experience.
Day 9: Face to Face with a Gorilla
Wake up very early and head to the Park headquarters for a pre-trekking experience. Set off to this exciting trek that brings you to human’s closes cousin (by DNA) in his natural habitat. Because of their mobility, the Mountain Gorilla tracking can take between three hours and on a bad day, an entire day. But, every minute After the trek and an hour with the gentle beasts is worth the endeavor.
The Bwindi impenetrable forest is also endowed with several other primates and tropical forest birds, plus alpine water falls. After the thrill, return to the hotel for lunch, refresh and head to an island on lake Bunyonyi , Uganda’s deepest Lake and Africa’s 2nd deepest lake.
Lake Bunyonyi, is a highland lake dotted with 29 islands. Each island has a story to tell. In the afternoon, you just laze at the Hotel’s swimming pool as you sip your favorite drink.
Day 10: A boat ride into the lake Bunyonyi and Pygimy Village visit.
This is the most relaxing day as you do a lazy boat ride from island to island, linking the picturesque views with the stories related to the island. In the afternoon, do a hike to the community settlement of the Batwa (pigmies) for interaction and entertainment. Return to your hotel.
Alternatively, head to Kisoro very and do a 2nd Mountain Gorilla tracking. (at an extra cost and pre-paid Gorilla Parmit).
Day 11: Back to Kampala by Road .
Take an 8 hours drive from to Kampala, through the Kigezi highlands, the Kanaba gap, the Ankole where you will see thousands of Ankole long horned cows grazing on the roadside. Stop at Igongo Cultural Centre, Uganda’s biggest private museum for lunch and proceed , again crossing an Equator line , and passing several roadside crafts shop and organic fruit markets. This may also be a time to shop your favorite Ugandan souvenir at a very affordable price.
Alternatively, relax at your Lodge and take an Afternoon flight from Kisoro Airstrip to Entebbe. Head to your lodge as you prepare your Journey back from the Pearl of Africa.
Day 12: Departure from the Pearl of Africa
